Big week for the Eagles! I have three announcements in this message.
1. Tomorrow, we need all Juniors to take the ACT Science Section 1st period from 8 to 9 a.m. This includes Fast-Track Students. This is for our ACT Science Experience through AMSTI.
2. We are having our Senior party from 2 to 3 p.m. tomorrow, and the seniors are going to "Pass Down" their school spirit to the kindergartners. We need all seniors to get with Coach Drummond to compose their message.
3. Volleyball today, Home Football tomorrow, Cheer Comp Sat, WP, and community trunk or treat on Sunday, 4-6.
Alumni, Parents, and students, our teams have banner years; please come support our student-athletes, band, and cheer team this week as they showcase their talents.
Your Area Champion Volleyball Team plays this Thursday at 1:30 and 6:30 at the Hoover Finley Center for the Regional Tournament. Students who wish to attend will be dismissed at 11:30 and must bring their ticket stubs to Mrs. Preiss to be excused.
The playoff-bound Varsity Football team takes on Winfield here at 7 pm Friday.

Thank you to Nil Makwana from Alabama Science in Motion for visiting our honors chemistry class this morning. Mr. Makwana and Mrs. Bridges reviewed periodic trends. We are very thankful for ASIM and all of their resources and everything that they do for our students!
Vinemont High School Chief Science Officers were trained Friday at West Point High School. They set STEAM goals for our school and community, learned about being a leader, and learned about STEAM resources and competitions.

VHS will be giving the ACT to ALL 10th and 11th Graders HERE at 7:50am on Tuesday, October the 15th. This includes Virtual and Fast Track Students.
Friday, October 11, will be picture day! These are the photos that will go in our yearbook.
SGA will host two Halloween contests on Tuesday, October 29, in the gym during PH. There will be a contest for individuals and a separate contest for groups. Prizes will be awarded for both contests. All you have to do to enter is show up!
October is Principals' month! We appreciate our principals!
This is just a reminder that our Senior Cookout Celebration Kicks off is today at 11:15. Off-campus seniors are invited to come eat and enjoy fun and games.
Energy Fact Friday!
If you would like to purchase an orange ribbon ($1.00), orange bracelet ($1.00), or orange sticker ($.50) for Walker Smithson please see Mrs. Bridges. All proceeds will be given to the Smithson Family.

You received an EMAIL from VHS about Blue Ribbon Surveys. We need a large percentage of our parents to complete that survey. Please help us by completing that survey for VHS.
